Christopher Hum

Sir Christopher Owen Hum KCMG (born 27 January 1946) is the 41st Master of Gonville and Caius College, one of the oldest colleges of the University of Cambridge. He has held this post since his installation on 16 January 2006, prior to which he was Her Majesty's Ambassador to the People's Republic of China. William Ehrman CMG was appointed as Her Majesty's Ambassador to the People's Republic of China as Hum's successor. Hum was educated at Berkhamsted School and read modern languages at Pembroke College, Cambridge, where he is an Honorary Fellow. He is married with two children.
